Aviation Personnel Forecasts
The need for human resources planning across all areas of civil aviation is of utmost importance to maintain a critical safety-driven industry. As the air transport industry recovers from a global pandemic and attempts to re-establish a rapid growth rate, global and regional aviation training gaps will need to be filled with qualified aviation professionals, including pilots, skilled technicians, and competent air traffic controllers.
This presentation will focus on the current pilot training demand in the Asia Pacific Region, in the context of the global need, and how the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is responding to emerging training needs post-pandemic. Through the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Programme and implementation Packages (iPacks) available, the Global Aviation Training Section is supporting to Member States and the airline industry to comply with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and the evolving skills requirements of aviation professionals.
