Joined-up Assessment in a Disjointed World – Effective and Robust Remote Selection and Assessment
Undeniably, the impact of Covid-19 has been felt across all parts of the aviation sector, with many operations in complete shutdown. However, many functions need to continue to operate in readiness for an inevitable recovery, including selection and assessment.
With restrictions on travel, and Covid safety precautions keeping facilities closed to candidates, alternative methods for conducting assessment activities remotely are being actively pursued, with different levels of required human oversight, technical innovations, and subsequently varying levels of success.
We will look at the issues surrounding remote assessments, the pros and cons of approaches commonly being used, the administrator and candidate experiences, and how a multi-layer approach can provide increased assurances. We will include some top tips for achieving smooth-running remote assessments and look at how integrated technologies and ongoing innovation, such as remote proctoring, provide solutions that will remain of value as the sector returns to the skies in full.
